This gorgeous spot is tucked away just a short stroll from Bethnal Green Underground station and forms part of the London Buddhist Centre. Yes, you heard right. A 100 percent vegan cafe that also happens to be a registered charity, sitting right alongside a thriving community space.
The space itself is beautiful. There is lots of natural light plus a gorgeous garden dining area for those warmer London days. Mandala Cafe is also laptop friendly!

Now let’s talk about the food.
Mandala Cafe offers a lovingly curated menu of plant-based goodness, and the brunch is a standout. Everything is responsibly sourced, completely vegan, and absolutely delicious. Alongside the brunch options, there’s also a full menu of nutrient-packed mains, a stunning range of cakes and pastries, and hot and cold drinks to suit any mood. They also cater for gluten-free diets.
It’s the kind of place where you want to linger over a cup of your favourite beverage, meet up with a mate, or just take a moment for yourself.
What really makes Mandala Cafe shine is that it operates as a not-for-profit. Every bite you eat there supports the community and helps keep this inclusive and welcoming space thriving. It’s good food that is doing good for the community.
Massive thanks to the Mandala team for the invite and for creating something so special. If you’re in East London and fancy a plant-based brunch with a side of kindness, you know where to go.

I love Mandala! I go there once a month for an early dinner before my book club meeting. Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious. And they always have a great selection of pastries. The cinnamon roll is my favorite. Staff is super nice as well.
