Love community? Love vegan food? Love Pride?
Read below for the full story.

This Pride, the good folks at JVS (Jewish Vegan Sustainable) are teaming up with the fabulous Sapphic Shabbat crew for a vegan Friday night dinner. It’s happening in Golders Green on Friday 4 July, 2025 and you are invited.
It’s a community dinner to mark Pride and to remind everyone that gathering in celebration is a powerful form of resistance!
This three-course vegan dinner is open to the LGBTQ+ community and allies. It’s lovingly priced at £15 for LGBTQ+ attendees and £20 for allies or those who are able to support the event a bit more financially. There’s even the option to get in touch if you’re a student or currently unemployed and need a concession. No one should be left out of a Pride dinner because of money.
I love this approach. It’s inclusive, it’s thoughtful, and it’s got community at its core.
The dinner is being held at JVS HQ in Golders Green, and it’s not just a meal. It’s a moment.
Sapphic Shabbat is an initiative creating space for Jewish sapphics, including non-binary and trans people who identify as lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, wlw, transmasc or transfemme. Their meet-ups are open and welcoming to the broader Jewish queer community and allies, and this dinner will carry that same spirit.
I don’t know what’s going to be on the menu yet, but knowing JVS, it’s going to be a gorgeous, nutritious spread.
So mark your calendar for Friday 4 July. Celebrate Pride with tasty food and community goodwill.
