West London has a bit of a lousy reputation when it comes to vegan food. For years, the majority of plant-based businesses have been concentrated over on the east side of London while the other side of the city went without.
But that has all changed with this 100% vegan coffee shop sat on Chiswick High Road.

Parlé Pantry has been open for a while but it wasn’t always vegan. I believe it was extremely vegan-friendly during its infancy, but at some point the owners decided to make the leap to completely plant-based.
You’ll find the coffee shop on Chiswick High Road, just a few minutes walk from Turnham Green Underground station (which is actually above ground but that’s not for now!).
The exterior of the business is beautifully decorated, with gold lettering shouting about its plant-based credentials on the glass and awning.
And the food and drink?
Parlé Pantry is overflowing with pastries, sandwiches, fresh salads, hot coffee, loose leaf tea, soft drinks, cakes, and bakes. All vegan!
The menu gives you so much choice and if you want a full cooked breakfast or a quick borek to grab-and-go with, this place has you covered.
This place is a revelation for West London and has been a long time coming. When I first moved to the UK way back in 1998, I actually lived just a three-minute walk from the site of the cafe. There certainly wasn’t even a dream in my head that a 100% vegan coffee shop would exist anywhere, let along on Chiswick High Road.
