Family Owned Vegan Business To Close In Days

This blog has quickly become a harbinger of doom for independent businesses and unfortunately I have more bad news today.

An independent vegan food business in Crawley is closing its doors for good but if you hurry, you might just catch one of the final days of service.

Read more below.

In an emotional social media post, owners of Sage Crawley shared news of the eatery’s impending closure after serving the local community (and a fair few curious visitors) for approximately 7 years.

In one section of their announcement, Sage owners said:

“It is with a heavy heart that we write this post to say we are closing the doors to Sage. This has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make, and not one that we have taken lightly. As a small family run business, we always prioritised the importance of the family feel to the cafe and put that love into every meal and every dish we served, but unfortunately with members of the family retiring and some having other work commitments and opportunities to pursue, we can no longer put that same time and love in to keep it at the standard that you all expect and deserve. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to every single one of you for supporting us over the past 7 years. It has truly been an amazing experience and one that we will never forget.”

Sage has the following hours listed as its last:

Saturday March 29th, 2025 – 9:00am to 9:30pm

Sunday March 30th, 2025 – 9:00am to 6:30pm

Monday March 31st, 2025 – 9:00am to 7:30pm

There is a small possibility that Sage could be open a few days more past the above dates, but to be safe I would get there during these times if you want to be sure to experience the menu one last time.

Get in there if you can and help Sage go out with a celebratory bang!
