Something truly spectacular happened today and I need you to pay close attention. It involves a market in North London, a generous portion of incredible food, and a reader named Oliver who clearly knows what he’s talking about.
Hungry for details? Keep reading below.

I took a trip to Nag’s Head Market in Holloway after Oliver suggested I check out Addis Alem, a family-run Ethiopian and Eritrean eatery that has been serving up some of the best food in London for the past three years.
And let me tell you, this place is phenomenal.
The portions? Absolutely massive. The flavours? Out of this world. If you’ve ever had Ethiopian or Eritrean food, you’ll know it is a perfect blend of earthy, tangy, and aromatic spices that come together in the most comforting and exciting way.

The stews here are deeply flavourful, packed with lentils, vegetables, and rich seasoning that make every bite special. And the injera? Perfectly soft and spongy, just as it should be, acting as both plate and utensil as you scoop up all that deliciousness.
It is no exaggeration to say this is some of the best food in London. If you love flavour, texture, and a meal that truly satisfies, get yourself to Addis Alem as soon as possible. They are open Wednesday through Sunday, so plan your visit accordingly.
Huge thanks to Oliver for the tip. Now it’s your turn to go!
