If you are familiar with the delicious vegan offerings of Mali Thai in Earls Court, you’ll be delighted to know this restaurant now has a companion outlet located south of the river.
Muan is a Thai street food restaurant located inside Brixton Village market, just a few minutes walk from Brixton Underground and Overground stations.

The eatery is a no-frills kind of vibe which makes for the perfect spot for a fast meal in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
Take a look below at the delights I ate during my recent visit!

That tin mug you can see above was filled with Thai iced oat milk tea. My husband adored this drink and ordered a second cup due to the impression it made on his taste buds.
You can also see the grilled vegan steak flank with spicy jaew sauce. That sauce was the element that elevated this dish. Superb.

The spicy papaya salad with vegan crackling and vegan fish sauce was the freshest item on our table, while the crispy dumplings with vegan mince pork and tom yum sauce was my husband’s pick of the day.
This meal was gifted to us by MOCK, the vegan food brand responsible for inventive and versatile meat substitutes. The MOCK chicken features in the Muan deep fried vegan chicken fillet with crispy garlic.
This dish was my top pick from the menu selection we sampled.

This might sound a bit cheeky as I didn’t pay for my meal, but the prices on the menu didn’t strike me as unreasonable considering how outrageously expensive London is in 2025.
Muan also serves a range of beers, wines, and cocktails.
