LA book reading
This is a super quick post to say thank you to everyone who came along to my book reading event at Stories book store in Los Angeles this week.
It was a wonderful feeling to see so many happy faces and we enjoyed some truly fantastic conversations.
It has been a dream of mine to have a book out but I never thought I would be presenting it to such wonderful people in a store in Echo Park. I’m still smiling.
This was my view at @storiesbooksandcafe tonight in LA for my book reading. Such a wonderful crowd including people who had driven from an hour away. Thank you for all being so awesome. Love to @mumblingmynah and @mrpenguino for doing all the set up and for being the best. Love to Mel and Jade for driving from Lomita. Big thanks to @rollercoastervegan and @veganeatsnyc for being rad in the front row. Thanks to the phenomenal @madameshugah for positive vibes and @pickywops for bringing London representation. Gratitude to Mike for asking about why dairy and egg production is cruel. There is nothing better than a human looking to learn. Thanks to @damianrinaldi for being there and stepping up to photo duties. I’m grateful for tonight and can’t quite believe I had my very own book event in Echo Park! #vegan
It was also exciting for me to find copies of my book available in legendary book store Book Soup in West Hollywood.
This shop is one of the most loved and famous places for books in LA, so I am truly honoured to be in there.
So THRILLED to see my book on the shelf at the legendary @booksoup in West Hollywood. I’m smiling so much right now. If you are in LA today, come to my book reading event at the equally fabulous @storiesbooksandcafe in Echo Park at 7pm. And no matter what you do, put some effort into supporting local book stores.
If you are in LA, please visit either of these independent book stores and help keep them alive!
