Vegan night in Edinburgh

Here is some exciting news for our northern neighbours.

A classy restaurant in Edinburgh is offering a three-course vegan menu tonight and then once a month going forward. How fabulous!

Vegan Evening
January 2015
3 Courses – £17

To start

Arancini risotto balls – Tomato herb sauce

Apple and parsnip soup (gf opt) – Herb croutons

Beetroot, quinoa and orange salad (gf) – Maple and Balsamic salad

To follow

Tofu stir-fry with pak choi, beansprouts and ginger (gf) – Rice noodles

Jerusalem artichoke and wild mushroom strudel – Cranberry and tarragon relish

Whole roasted beef tomato filled with ratatouille and rice (gf) – Polenta chips, olive tapenade

To finish

Rice pudding – Cinnamon and apple compote

Dark chocolate and pomegranate – Chocolate chip cookie

Vanilla passionfruit cake – Ice cream

Well, that sounds gorgeous.

  1. I’ve been a few times before and had mixed experiences, especially since the vegan chef who started the vegan nights back in 2013 left the restaurant last year to go and work at Henderson’s. Definitely worth going along to try out though!
