Hammersmith Thursdays

Poor old West London gets a bit neglected as all the cool vegan stuff tends to happen Central, South, North and East. Well get ready, ’cause Hammersmith is getting its vegan on.

I stumbled upon an outdoor food market set up in Lyric Square today and got a very pleasant surprise. There was vegan food available!

I’m not sure how long the market has existed, but I found out it takes place every Thursday in the square which is diagonally across from the Underground and bus station.

I saw The Honest Carrot selling their almost completely vegan cuisine as well as the 100% plant based Rainforest Creations. A number of other stalls also had vegan options that included pasties, falafel, juice and bread.

Get along on a Thursday in the not too distant future and marvel at multiple vegan options in one location in West London!

  1. Try Street eats in Hammersmith it’s a lovely little cafe that has some vegan options and are also very accommodating

  2. Hammersmith also has Sagar, a veggie South Indian restaurant. The staff are great and will supply a vegan menu and a gluten free menu upon request.
I am devoted to their onion bhajias; sweet, crispy nuggets of loveliness studded with cumin and chilli mmmmmmmm
