I have a lot of affection for a vegan grocery store in Sheffield called All Carrot No Stick.
Long time readers will know that Sheffield holds a special place in my heart. I lived there for a while, I hosted my vegan beer fest there a few years back, and it was one of the cities that helped shape my love for independent vegan businesses such as All Carrot No Stick.
Read more below.

The shelves are packed with vegan pantry essentials, frozen foods, dairy alternatives, and an impressive range of vegan cheeses. You will also find chocolates, snacks, and bakery items that make it almost impossible to leave with just the things you planned to buy. On top of the food selection, the shop also carries personal care products, household goods, and thoughtful little gifts.
It is the sort of place where you pop in for a carton of oat milk and leave with a bag full of treats you did not know you needed.
More than the products, what really makes All Carrot No Stick special is the sense of community around it. The shop has built a loyal following of compassionate shoppers who value having a fully vegan space in their neighbourhood.

And you want to know something else about this shop?
All Carrot No Stick is currently up for sale!
The shop has actually been a health food store for more than 40 years, before becoming fully vegan in 2016. Like it was for many independent businesses, the pandemic years were difficult for All Carrot. Despite that challenge, the shop has bounced back in an impressive way. Sales have grown by 54% over the past three years, reaching more than £230,000 in 2025.
The store sits in a vibrant parade of independent shops and cafes in what locals affectionately call Sheffield’s lentil belt. It benefits from strong footfall and passing trade, while also being deeply rooted in the local community.
All Carrot No Stick has built a fantastic reputation over the years. The shop is known for its wide product range, excellent customer service, and lively social media presence. It currently holds a 4.8 rating on Google and has around 5,000 followers across Instagram and Facebook. The Carrot Club loyalty scheme has more than 300 members, giving a new owner an engaged mailing list from day one.
Another appealing aspect is that the business can be run by just one person, helping keep staffing costs low. The shop is currently open seven days a week and would suit a couple or a single owner working with part time staff. The sale includes ten years of EPOS sales data covering more than 1,200 product lines, making it easier for new owners to get up to speed.
The current owners say running the shop has been a true family experience, with several members of their family working there over the past five years. Now, with the three owners all over 60, they are ready to pass the baton to the next person who wants to take this much loved business forward.
The asking price is £57,500 plus stock at value.
I have such fond memories of browsing the shelves of All Carrot No Stick and chatting with the people behind the counter (most recently this weekend!). It would be wonderful to see someone else come on in to keep the dream alive.
