I have a strong and deep connection with Sheffield, however I haven’t visited in a long time and things have changed a lot.
The city has lost a few of its vegan business over the past 5 years but one addition to the plant-based landscape has left me extremely impressed.
Take a look below.

Lovely Rita’s Bakehouse is a 100% vegan bakery and coffee shop just a few steps from Bramall Lane football ground, home of Sheffield United.
Rita’s is tucked away in a courtyard with plenty of outdoor seating where you can take your time to enjoy their treats. And talking about the food, let’s take a look.

I stopped for a while to not only eat at Rita’s, but to also enjoy a creamy hot chocolate made with oat milk.
The bakery was absolutely buzzing, often with a queue out the door. It is clearly a local favourite and I can see why. This is one of the best bakeries I have eaten with on the planet.
