This coming Saturday you have the opportunity to appreciate the great outdoors while spreading some compassion and it’s all thanks to the wonderful people at Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary.
On Saturday 6 September 2025, from 10am until 4pm, the gates to this much loved sanctuary will be open for a very special day of joy, compassion, and community connection.
Read more below.

For just £5 for adults and £4 for children aged 5 to 15 (with under 5s free), you can spend the day surrounded by rescued animals, kind humans, and delicious vegan food.
There is so much planned for the day that I don’t even know where to start. You will have the chance to meet the sanctuary’s friendly residents including cows, sheep, goats, ponies, alpacas, chickens, and more. You can explore the newly re-opened Pig Woodland and the brand new Goat Village, as well as the Pig Barn, Home for Rescued Hens and Outdoor Education Area.
If you have ever wondered what genuine sanctuary for animals looks like, this is your chance to experience it in person.
Of course, no compassionate gathering is complete without a feast. The food and drink line up includes Nelly’s Delhi Indian Street Food, No Baloney, Taylors Artisan Free-From Pies, Golden Glaze Doughnuts, The May Bakery, and Master Coffee Company. All 100% vegan.
Throughout the day there will also be inspiring talks from Dr Alice Brough, a pig vet and vegan campaigner, Dr Molly Vasanthakumar of Stockfree Farming, and The Humane League UK. Add to that market stalls filled with crafts, artwork, plants, homeware and beauty products, plus children’s activities, games and even a face painter between 11am and 2pm, and you have a full day of goodness for every age.
Free field parking is available and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome, so nobody in the family needs to miss out.
Goodheart Animal Sanctuary is in the heart of Worcestershire and you can see the exact location thanks to Google Maps.
You can see the full schedule over on the Goodheart website.
Do something spontaneous this weekend and get along for a compassionate good time!
