Sometimes doing the right thing feels like a sacrifice. But sometimes it tastes like crispy golden batter and a pile of chips.
The No Catch Co in Brighton is one of those rare and beautiful things that proves doing good can also be deeply satisfying.

This all-vegan fish and chip shop has been quietly making waves on the south coast for a few years now. With a menu that includes smoked tofish, battered vegan saveloys, tempura prawnz, calamari, and jumbo lemon shrimp, they’ve taken one of the most iconic meals in the UK and reimagined it in a way that protects our oceans and fills our bellies.
The fishing industry is not just a moral concern, it’s an environmental disaster. And yet here’s this beautiful chippy on the Brighton seafront offering us an alternative that tastes amazing.
Their chips are the stuff of dreams. The jumbo battered saveloy is the closest I’ll get to pure happiness. And the sauce selection? I could bathe in all of it.
It’s more than food. It’s a revolution wrapped in paper and salt and vinegar. If you haven’t already made your way down to The No Catch Co, now is the time. Let’s protect the oceans, one delicious order at a time.
