There are a lot of options when it comes to vegan baked goods in London these days, but few match the pure joy and charm of this independent gem.
If you’re into cookies the size of your hand, brownies so dense they should come with a warning, and want it all without a trace of gluten, I’ve got something for you.
Read below for more details.

The Polka Dot Bakery is holding it down every weekend at Old Spitalfields Market, slinging sweet treats that are entirely vegan and totally gluten free.
Before you roll your eyes at yet another gluten free promise, let me assure you that texture and taste are not missing from the equation. This is the kind of stuff that makes you question how gluten ever got such a good rep in the first place.
Polka Dot is a 100% independent business serving chunky cookie sandwiches filled with luscious creams, brownies that defy gravity, and jumbo cookies stuffed with cake (you read that correctly). I’ve had a LOT of their treats and I’ve never been disappointed.

You’ll find them every Saturday and Sunday nestled among the stalls at Old Spitalfields Market, just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station.
Grab an extra brownie for the train ride home. You won’t regret it.
