Open Mic Event In South London

If you’re looking for a night of Queer creativity, community, and good vibes, you need to get yourself to Queer Open Mic this Sunday in South London.

I started the open mic about two years ago with my friend Josh as we wanted to create a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ performers in London because, let’s be real, not all open mic nights are as welcoming as they should be.

This monthly event takes place at The Cock Tavern in Kennington, a legendary LGBTQ+ pub known for its inclusive atmosphere. We’re there on the final Sunday of each month from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and the next one is happening on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025.

While the open mic is exclusively for Queer performers, everyone (Queer or not) is welcome to come along and cheer from the audience. Trust me, it’s always a fun night with incredible performances.

If you fancy stepping up to the mic, you can sign up to perform via the Queer Open Mic Meetup group.

And if performing isn’t your thing, just come along, grab a drink, and soak up the talent.

Hope to see you there!

EXTRA NOTE: While this event isn’t a vegan event, it is run by two vegans. I’d love to see more Queer vegans joining us in this monthly space!
