Best in London… again!

A few months ago, I wrote an extremely-excitable blog post heralding Cook Daily as the best vegan food provider in London. You can read the original post here.

Flash forward to last night and the food I was served up in Shoreditch has forced me to announce a successor to the crown.

There is a new ‘best in London’ eatery and it is…. Cook Daily. Well, it is almost Cook Daily.

Let me explain.

King of Cook Daily has opened a new eatery diagonally opposite his much-adored location in Boxpark, Shoreditch. You will find many of the same staff, chefs and flavours but for me, the new outlet called Home will knock your socks off even faster than the original.

Check out our meals from last night.

Josh ate the Pad Thai featuring flat rice noodles stir fried with ‘egg tofu’, bean sprouts and carrots. Flavoured with tamarind and homemade vegan ‘fish sauce’. Served with crushed peanuts. Josh added the vegan chicken to his plate. He unequivocally stated that he would eat this meal every single day for the rest of his life if he could. How’s that for an endorsement?

My meal was legendary, plain and simple. Vegetable black bean and rice, with added vegan chicken. I’m a pacifist but I would fist fight anyone who tried to stand between me and this food. It is one of the tastiest dishes you will be served in the entire country.

Get your friends together and get along to Home. If they are too slow putting their shoes on, leave without them. The quicker you get to the Shoreditch eatery, the faster your life will improve.

And with food this exquisite, who needs friends?

  1. I really like Cook Daily and eat there atleast once a week. I ate at Home last week and had the pad thai. I found it very dry and overly sweet. Not impressed. Will try something else on the menu at Home but may end up sticking with cook Daily.
