Pizza, pasta & calzone

You ready for some fucking fantastic news?

You can now buy vegan pasta, pizza and calzone in Dalston, London. Get the facts and then get fed!

News of this vegan-friendly eatery in east London arrived to my inbox thanks to Miriam. She wrote to alert me to the really rather impressive and inclusive menu being offered at Fed By Water on Kingsland High Street in E8.

Miriam sent me the following photo she snapped of the vegan pizza menu. Check it out.

I love the sound of the spicy seitan pizza with vegan mozzarella and crushed chilli.

The Fed By Water menu is not a fully vegan affair, but it certainly has a decent showing of plant-based cuisine. Click here to browse the full menu and marvel at the huge vegan selection.

Some of the dishes that caught my eye include:

  • Seitan Salad – freshly cooked seitan, sun dried tomatoes & walnuts
  • Tempeh Salad – freshly cooked tempeh, caramelised onions & rosted pine nuts
  • Linguine alla Crema di zucchine – freshly made with courgette cream
  • Puccia Bread – bread made with onions, tomatoes, olives, capers

What do you think? Do these vegan Italian offerings sound enticing? Have you dined with Fed By Water? How was it?

  1. I can’t praise FED enough. I stumbled upon it on my hunt for a room in Dalston (unsuccessful so far, so let me know if you have a spare room) and had the pleasure of so far trying a delicious Calzone and an amazing Ragù. I hope Fabio & Claudia will eventually manage to veganise it all and add some vegan drinks and ‘dolci’ to the menu, but it is a really good start and the ambiente is really nice as well. It’s all very bright. The tap water tastes nothing like the usual nasty London tap water, because it’s properly filtered and you can choose between sparkly and still. Your meal will be accompanied by fine jazz tunes (classy 😉 ).
Fabio (one of the owners and head chef) told me that they’ve been there since last year. Shame they haven’t been discovered earlier. I’m sure I’ll go back for more.

  2. […] in Dalston (also home to the incredible FED by water which you can read about here, here, here and here!), Andu Cafe has gone to the top of my list of places to visit when I get back to London in […]
