I’ve been published!

I don’t just write nonsense about overeating and drinking gallons of vegan beer. Sometimes I attempt to write meaningful text for other platforms.

One such diversion, and one I feel particularly proud with which to be associated, is T.O.F.U. magazine.

What is T.O.F.U.? It is a magazine filled with globally-sourced content created and written by compassionate people. Headed up by Ryan PateyT.O.F.U. is a valuable avenue for thoughtful humans to reach other thoughtful humans, all underpinned with a vegan framework. It’s one big, loved-up think-fest.

But what about the latest issue of the magazine? Read below what Ryan says of the new release:

Continuing to focus on intersectionality, the eighth issue of T.O.F.U. tackles the relationship between the oppression of animals and the oppression of women through articles on the use of sex in animal rights campaigns, the targeting of men as the key demographic for such campaigns, and more. In addition, an in-depth interview with Carol J. Adams, the author of the Sexual Politics of Meat, connects current efforts with those of the past and offers insight on what we need to do for the future.

Of course, that’s not all the issue contains! There are also DIY articles on starting vegan businesses, a review of Northern New Jersey, plenty of recipes, and more.

You can buy a download of T.O.F.U. issue 8 right now online. The suggested amount you should pay is CAD$5 (yes, that is Canadian).

The writing skills of Fat Gay Vegan appears in this latest issue, as I attempt to explain why I think vegans should make it their business to reject sexism, misogyny, racism and homophobia in and out of the vegan scene. (My piece is accredited to my real name, Sean O’Callaghan)
