Birds and bees

I am sitting on a cosy train, being whisked past mist covered rolling hills as I leave Scotland behind me and return to London.

I have many happy Glasgow memories in my head jostling for blog space, but I have decided to let a delicious Scottish beer take the limelight today.

William Bros Brewing Co. beers were everywhere in Glasgow. Every bar or restaurant I entered was selling bottles by this Scottish beer producer.

The entire range of bottles is suitable for vegans, but you may very well need to watch out for casks of their product containing isinglass. The beer is made vegan but only the bottles and kegs remain so, while the company has committed to keeping the cask version vegan in the near future as they phase out the use of isinglass.

The bottle made by this brewery that most captured my heart was the gorgeous Birds & Bees. This golden summer ale is one of the freshest drinks I’ve enjoyed in a long while. Fruity, zesty, crisp and so incredibly drinkable. I was guzzling the stuff. The elderflower infusion added late in the process gives it a unique twist, positioning this brew as one of the best blonde beers I have consumed. (4.3% ABV)
