Skate for Oceans

How about a roller disco in London on a Sunday afternoon to raise money for ocean defenders Sea Shepherd UK? You got it! Blogger and event planner Fat Gay Vegan (that’s me!) brings you a party like the UK capital has never seen before under the name Skate for Oceans.

Tucked away under the rail bridge on Wandsworth Road, Vauxhall is the amazing Roller Disco venue inside the Renaissance Rooms. On Sunday March 23rd, 2014, two massive roller skating rinks will be jam packed with compassionate skaters rolling to pumping tunes as they raise money for ocean conservation.

As doors are flung open at midday attendees will lace up their skates, strap on some safety gear and hit the rinks.

Skate for Oceans won’t be just five hours of pop music mixed with thrills and spills in one of the coolest venues in London. Attendees will also be able feast on the much-loved vegan hot dog cuisine of fast food superstars The Mighty Fork who will be selling in the beer garden.

Admit one ticket: £15 plus booking fee

Admit one ticket on the door (if available): £20

Non-attendance supporter ticket: £5 (to show support for event in your absence)

18+ only. Skate hire included in entry fee.

Get your tickets. Pick out your best roller disco outfit. Tell your friends, far and wide. We are going to Skate for Oceans and have a lot of fun doing it.

I wish I was going to be in London on March 23rd. If I was, you would see me with lots of blue eye shadow & shiny clothing. Alas, it’s not meant to be, but it may be for you. Then you could . . .

  5. My, oh, my, this sounds like a lot of fun!

  6. Sounds Awesome,
Will there be skates on hire, or do we have to bring our own gear?x

    • Skates are included in the entry price or you are welcome to bring your own.
